Salary Range: (64) $33,064.80-$55,375.20

The AMSTI section intends to fill one (1) Administrative Support Assistant III position. This position will serve as a customer-friendly, first-line responder for AMSTI, assist with professional learning materials, staff and event initiative documentation with limited travel.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Compose, revise, proofread, and edit letters, reports, forms, memoranda, and other documents so that information is accurate, clear, and concise, and timelines are met
- Process and maintain confidential matters and calculate numeric information so that contracts, travel forms, and other documents are accurate and require a minimum of revisions.
- Prepare, route, and maintain current records so that the status of contracts, amendments, travel, letters, etc. can be ascertained.
- Answer telephone, take messages, and communicate accurate information orally and in writing to administrators, AMSTI site staff, AMSTI trainer and trainee participants, SDE personnel, and other stakeholders in a customer friendly manner.
- Collaborate and assist staff in preparation for workshops, conferences, and meetings to ensure events are well organized.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of contract claims and invoices, travel processing, and other duties to ensure timelines are followed and in accordance with ALSDE guidelines.
- Demonstrate professional and collaborative behaviors that represent the ALSDE in a positive light and support the goals and mission of the AMSTI section.
- Coordinates the flow of supplies and related items for AMSTI and answers and/or routes questions so that the information provided is accurate and support is delivered.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to support the overall mission of AMSTI.
Education:
- High school diploma or a GED certificate.
Experience:
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible clerical experience.
