Position Title: Education Administrator I

Position Code: 30123

Salary Range: $58,111.20-$125,304.00

Position Location: Federal Programs Section

Open Date: April 2025


The Federal Programs section intends to fill one (1) Education Administrator position. The position will provide support to LEAs in the administration of Federal Programs.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Reviewing and approving LEA federal grant applications accurately within designated timelines
  • Providing leadership in the areas of Homeless Education, Rural Education, and Indian Education, ensuring LEAs implement programs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Leading the compliance monitoring team, conducting desk audits, pre-monitoring, and monitoring in LEAs designated for reviews so that LEAs follow federal and state guidelines
  • Providing oversight and guidance to ensure technical assistance and monitoring are conducted in LEAs and that LEAs are in compliance with federal and state guidelines in accordance with established criteria
  • Planning and coordinating training, workshops, and meetings to ensure LEA have accurate and timely information.
  • Supervising subordinates so that work is monitored, and department goals are met by proper use of appraisal, counseling, coaching, and discipline

Education:

  • Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in an approved subject matter or education specialty area

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience
  • School or district level administrative experience preferred, not required

  • Knowledge of technology-support applications as related to specific job functions (Microsoft applications, for example)
