Position Location: Montgomery and South Alabama Counties

The Professional Learning section of the Alabama State Department of Education in Montgomery is seeking to hire one (1) part-time Retired State Employee positions.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Communicate information to immediate supervisor and other stakeholders.
- Support professional learning opportunities for leaders implementing the Principal Mentoring and Leadership Act and the School Leadership Standards
- Develop presentations and conduct training sessions with internal and external agencies.
- Collaborate with the Alabama Regional Inservice Center directors and other stakeholders
- Submit travel reimbursements and use clock in/out, as needed, for assignments
- Sort and assemble materials for training sessions, including set-up and take down
- Participate in and attend all relevant train-the-trainer sessions.
Education:
- Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in an approved subject matter or education specialty area
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in education leadership
Other Skills:
- Strong verbal, written, communication, and technology skills
- Attitude of professionalism and ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders
- Knowledge of technology-support applications as related to specific job functions (Microsoft applications, for example)
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Disciplined ability to work independently
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel overnight, as needed
