The annual report includes the following information from the August 2022-July 2023 reporting year: The purpose, duties, and responsibilities of the Panel; the status of special education in Alabama, including SPP/APR information; membership (stakeholder representatives); an overview of the Panel’s priorities, activities, accomplishments, and recommendations for the period covered by the report; a summary of advice and recommendations from the Panel to the ALSDE, Special Education Services section; and anticipated Panel vacancies for the next Panel year.
