Jackie Zeigler

Mrs. Zeigler retired after 14 years as principal of the award-winning Mary B. Austin Elementary School, Mobile County School System. The school won the National Blue Ribbon Award of Excellence.
During her career, Mrs. Zeigler was employed as a teacher and acting principal at Dauphin Island’s Little Red School House, a classroom teacher and Title One Coordinator at Maryvale Elementary School, and assistant principal of O’Rourke Elementary School, Mobile County School System. She also served as adjunct professor of education at Springhill College where she taught curriculum.
Mrs. Zeigler is married to Mr. Jim Zeigler, State Auditor. They have two children, James Baldwin Zeigler, a graduate of Baker High School, Mobile County School System, and Mary Magdalene Zeigler, a senior at Baker High School.
Mrs. Zeigler has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in elementary education with an Administration/Supervision certificate from the University of South Alabama.
